Series of pictures showing the replacement of the Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter Lense. I am upgrading to a TKX 5-Speed and needed to change the lense shift pattern.

This requires destroying the original lense by drilling a hole near the center. The chrome top bezel is very susceptible to damage if you try to pry off the existing lense.
It is easier, and almost sacrilegious, to drill a perfectly good (new in this case) 4-Speed shift pattern lense in order to replace it with the 5-Speed shift pattern lense. While drilling it with a 3/16" drill bit, I swear I heard the thunder of the Mopar gods.
The clear lense portion is relatively thick and hard to drill. Take your time and drill slowly. Once you have the hole drilled, take a small lag bolt and thread it into the hole so you can pull out the lense. It should not be too difficult as the new Hurst shifter handles have a small amount of clear silicone RTV adhesive holding the lense in place. Once the lense is out, pick out the silicone remnants. I used a set of angled hemostats. Not much RTV there but that is all it takes to hold the new lense in place. The pictures are in order and it took about 20 minutes to do. I hope this helps anyone replacing or changing out their shift pattern lense.
