New to the group and new to classic Mopars. Purchased a curious yellow 71 BH "Cuda" project car and working on taking it to completion. Not going for a perfect show car, just a nice driver to be proud of. Missed out on a built 71 Cuda in 1973 when I was 16. It would have been my first car, but my Pops said no. I'm finally living the dream... but lots of work ahead of me. I will say that I've met some helpful, knowledgeable Mopar heads here locally that are making the journey a little easier. Looking forward to participating in this group!

Cruisin' Grand in Escondido has a themed show/cruise every Friday, April through September and has a Mopar Night each year where Mopars are the theme (already passed for this year). Even when it's not Mopar Night there are some fine Mopars to be seen on a weekly basis. Would love to see your 'Cuda there!

Welcome to FEBO. Some how this is the fish that got away giving a welcome. Better late than never! Yeah I know an other fish story.Just curious it the yellow original?

The week I made the deal on my challenger. A shipmate came to me and said "you have to come see this." Had no Idea what he was talking about. So we jumped into his 69 charger and went for a ride. pulled into a car dealer and there sat a 70 Hemi CUDA.with 8k mi on it !!! OH and Plum Crazy! The dealer was closing the shop for the day,but we got to look at it for a bit. He wanted A whopping $2300 for it. I went home to ask my dad to cosign a loan ( He cosign a loan and I paid it off.) because I closed my slush fund to buy the challenger in cash. When I told him what it was He said NO NO NO. What are you going to do with that? I replied. Drove to Church on Sunday's. As I shrugged my shoulders. That was my fish story.

Hey, thanks Challenger RTA. Great story! I bet a lot of guys our age have similar stories about e-bodies that were denied us "for our own good". Time has a way of bringing our dreams back to reality!
