Hi Guy's,
1973 Cuda.
Hope this post is still alive,
I'm looking at some wheel/tire combos, fasjac really like the look of your Cuda I am hoping to get the same look.
The rims I am looking at are only available as a 8.5x15 rear with back space of 3.5" which leaves 5" of rim towards the fender. I do like the deep dish look but I also want the tire bulge, Not sure if its going to clear the fender lip? Hoping to get a 285/275x60/65
Also looking at lowerig the car 2".
Fronts will be 7x15, back space of 3.5" with 235x70.

Any thoughts,
Thanks
Al,

With a 8.5" wheel and only 3.5" backspace I think you going to have a clearance problem. I have 8" Weld wheels with 4" backspace on my Cuda with 275/60-15 tires. I also have a B body rear end, which is 1.5" narrower than the E body rear housings, so I have 3/4' more clearance on each side. With that setup I have very little clearance.

Weld Rodlites on mine, 15x8 on the rear and 15x7 on the front. These wheels have been on this car since 2002. Tires are BFG T/A's 275/60x15 rear and 235/70x15 0n the front. They have also been on the car since 2002 and are getting changed out soon.View attachment 86331
Hey Heminut,
What back space do your rims have? Great Look!

I’m not sure what the backspacing is. Those wheels are 2944450 factory steel wheels. 15x7 rim.

If you wouldn't mind, just trying to sort some wheel combos for my 73 Cuda,
Thanks.

I went with YearOne's 8x17 and 9x17 Mopar Rallye Wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. 245/45ZR17 in the front and 275/40ZR17 rear. They fit perfect. No rubbing, no need to flair the wheel well, no need for a shackle relocation kit in the back. I am very happy with the look and they seem to ride great!!!

Steel wheels are nice but I think 15" Chrome Magnums look best. But that is just my opinion.

Al,
Thanks! I too think you will have a clearance issue in the rear with those specs. Probably will need to do a spring relocation kit and more offset. JMO
