Hello everyone. My first vehicle purchased circa 1973 when I worked at a Chevron Service Station in Chualar, California (population 300 at the time) was a 1965 four-door Plymouth Valiant 273 auto that I paid $125.00 for. Built it into a 273 bracket racer with a four-speed at Hartnell Community College Auto Technology class that I named "Valiant Effort". Best E.T was 12.72 @ 108 mph (also street legal). In 1980 I sold it to the now famous Renteria Brothers from Morgan Hill, California who installed a big block and raced it for another 20 years (they sold it to Kenny Moorhead and they now have a "plastic-bodied" four-door Valiant). Photos show my Valiant painted Cadillac terra cota firemist when I owned it and then repainted/upgraded to the black color by the Renteria Brothers. Yes, that is the same vehicle. Currently I am restoring 1965 Plymouth Valiant Signet convertible, 1965 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S, and 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus. By the way, my parents purchased a new, special order 1971 Plymouth Road Runner when I was a junior in high school (I recently found the current owner of the Road Runner on Facebook). Love the Ebodies, of course.

Currently building a 340 "mule" motor and then also an eventual 305 (destroked 340) to install in the '72 Satellite.
