Metering or proportioning Valve

Have a 70 Barracuda 318/2bbl... going with power brakes this time around...proportioning valve or metering valve? And whats the difference?

I had a lot of trouble getting my brakes working after the change from manual to power. What made the best difference was an adjustable proportion valve to the rear brakes. That way I could adjust it and now my rears don't lock up.

Adjustable is the way to go. Readily available and easy to adjust. Can use for any brake set-up you may go with now and in the future.
