Looking for some photos of the clutch pedal safety switch and bracket. I am nearing completion on an automatic-to-TKX 5-speed conversion and will be using an aftermarket switch ($7 Hyundai switch pictured). I will have to fabricate a bracket but want to see how the factory clutch switch/bracket was installed on 1970 and 1971-74 E-Bodies.
***Backstory: I will be using this clutch switch as a ground trigger to a separate relay with will provide a GND to the factory starter relay. The same relay will also be ground triggered by the TKX's internal Neutral safety switch (NSS). The TKX NSS is not rated for use as a direct ground to the starter relay so a separate control relay is needed to avoid a future switch problem. End result is pushing in the clutch OR putting the TKX in Neutral will allow the starter relay to engage the starter.
Also, the TKX's internal Reverse switch requires a separate relay as well. This relay will provide power to the REV/Backup Lamps and the dash-mounted REVERSE light which was used on factory manual E-Bodies.***
In the future I plan to create and post some wiring diagrams showing the isolation/control relays needed so anyone doing a TKX 5-speed conversion will not have to start from scratch.
Thanks in advance if you can provide some photos. I included the 1970-only and 1971-74 clutch switch/bracket below for reference but I need to see it installed so I can fabricate something similar.
