Good morning ebody enthusiasts!
New to the forum. I started 2025 off with a bang and snatched up a 73 challenger. Car is basically a complete roller. It’s in the garage now for a full careful teardown. Having a blast and enjoying the process. Can’t wait to learn more, and continue chipping away at the progress.

Welcome!!
Like it was mentioned, glad to se another one being saved. I am a fan of the 72-74 Challengers, they are a little overlooked, especially when compared to the 70-71's, but they are a beautiful car!!

Hey welcome! Mine's a '73 Challenger Rallye and I'm completely replacing the undercarriage with custom racing suspension & chassis parts so I have a bunch of original parts in good condition that you can use for your project. From what I can see, that rear end sag will benefit from the springs I'm selling. Our cars came out of the factory with a reverse rake so I had these springs manufactured by Eaton Detroit with the factory spring rate and arched 2" to correct it. They're basically brand new. I had them on the car for a month before I decided to go extreme.

What's your plan for the build?
I am trying to be modest in my approach and stay on what’s at hand. I have focused mainly on the bag/tag-strip and photograph process. After a sandblast and epoxy prime I can get a better picture of the extent of metal work needed. The car is originally Ja5 dark silver metallic, blue interior. It has been reupholstered beautifully in black and primed exterior. I am considering b5 or silver, with “poverty caps” on steelies instead of the ralleye wheels, and black stripe along the side. Once I’ve gotten it in metal phase I will make a more serious decision of my direction. There are so many to consider for inspiration.

For sure on the bag/tag/pictures! When I did mine I also had separate boxes for the small item bags for things like the interior, exterior, under body, trunk, engine compartment, suspension etc. Made it a lot easier when it came time for re-assembly. Just take your time and it's all one step at a time. Mostly it's forward steps but there will be some backward steps along the way.
