Just got signed up tonight. I was looking for clutch size information and stumbled across this site. I have been out of the game for a while and just got my car back after 36 years of not having her at my house. long story. I have a 71 Challenger, JH23 car, 340 four speed and a factory Shaker hood. Just getting started on the resto work myself. Body is very clean as the car has been off the road since 1988. Looking forward to getting information and sharing car stories on here.

Welcome
You will have a 130 tooth flywheel the better choice is a 10.95" clutch system , I prefer non diaphragm type but they are not so common now , Mcleod is one of the best IMO

Before I got the car, someone had swapped out the 23 spline for an 18 spline. It has a blow proof bellhousing in there as well. I'm going to drop the trans again and replace the pressure plate. It has the old plate I used back in the day, but I remember it being crazy hard to push in. I had it resurfaced, but I want to enjoy driving the car.

Welcome to the site from Michigan! Looks like a good solid car and you even have the wide trim pieces for the front of the hood and fenders  . Those are very hard to find especially in that condition.

Welcome to the site from Arkansas!
Yea, the 3 finger pressure plates are great but, can wear ya down in traffic.
I’m running an 11” flywheel with McLeod on a bb, feels easy.

Cool project 👍🏻
