Looking forward to learning from all of you, and sharing what little I know.

I ordered this '70 Challenger in September, 1969 and got it in December. I have been the only driver, except from 1972 - 1974 when I went overseas and my Dad kept it for me. It came out of the LA plant and started life in New Mexico, but has been registered in California since 1974. Odometer reads (1)88,000.

It's a plain Jane 318 2Bbl/3Sp manual/3.23 gears. I ordered it with the Rallye Cluster, AM/8 Track, and the two-tone V02 code EW1/EB5. It is still stock, except the side mouldings were removed and it was resprayed in 1999. We also re-did the interior then.

Welcome to the site!
You have a sharp looking challenger. Definitely not a "plain Jane" challenger.
Enjoy!

Welcome to the site from Arkansas! Nice Challenger. The only thing plain is it’s plain cool. I like it a lot.

Thanks to everyone for your warm welcome! I appreciate that.

The Forum has already helped me through an ignition switch issue earlier this year. Jim at JS Restorations was very resourceful and responsive.

I look forward to participating and contributing whenever I can.

Thanks again! You have a great Forum.

Great to have you here Bill, and very nice Challenger.

There are a few things that push people up the respect ladder for me, and you have hit several of them already.

#1 - Original owners are top 'o the heap to me. 5 stars to you for that.
#2 - Owners with excellent taste in make/model/color/options are right up there too. 4 more stars for you!

I'm not an original owner like you, but you can see from the photos of my car why you get 4 stars for #2.

#2 - Well, I'll Be Dipped! as my favorite You -Tuber would say.

Your's is everything I wanted as a buyer back then, including the R/T and the SE -- but the R/T meant sky-high insurance premiums. Plus my Dad didn't trust me with a "massive 383," much less the 426, which I really wanted. So he wouldn't co-sign for anything bigger than the 318. (Maybe that's why I'm still alive and the car's still in existence.😕)

Nice Car!!

Welcome to the site Bill from Michigan!
Glad you joined up and very glad that you have kept your Challenger original  .

There are just not that many 318 3 spd cars out there. Especially in the condition of yours.
