Hello Everyone!! I am in sunny Florida.. Been here since 1970.. Always been a Mopar fan, purchased my first car at 16, a 1974 Challenger in the fall of 1975.. It was a sad day in 1982 when I sold it, but life took over.. Work, Wife, and 3 sons and a plumbing business over the years.. Owned a lot of Mopar vehicles, trucks and vans.. But started looking to get back into a challenger in 2015.. The search was on for 70 to 74.. But after close to 3 years and the wife voicing her opinion, the decision was to buy a 2018RT 5.7 manual.. But my search for the old E Body never stopped.. And with my wife finally coming around I found my 71 a few months back.. The 71 shows some 50yr wear, so within a couple years it will be taken apart and re-finished.. It is not a numbers matching car.. It has gone thru many transformations along the way, which is fine with me. a couple pics of both my rides..and the old 74 which started my love for these cars.. Look forward to learning and watching some of these member builds..

Welcome to the site from Michigan!
Very nice couple of Challengers  . What drive train do you have in the '71?

Glad the wife finally came around and all is happy now:).

It originally had a 318 in 71, which I believe was still in the car in 2004.. But in 2013 a crate 408 Stroker from Blue Print Engines was installed..along with a lot of changes in a year or two later. Only 2500 miles on it, everything checks out.. 727 auto..The place I bought it from never opened this book(or at least it seems) I received to tell me everything about this car from 2004 to end of 2018 when they purchased it for their showroom to attract customers.. They put 138 miles on it in the year and nine months they had it...The book is fully documented with everything done to the car and mileage listed at each change.. I think I got lucky with this one...pics are prior to a few changes I have done.. Its nice to own something I can work on. Been many years since I have changed plugs, adjusted floats in a Holley 750...and more..

That’s a cool story/history of the car. It’s very cool. Have a blast with it. As mine was a 340 now a 500 stroker 5 speed and love it.
you have a very nice car.
