Retired Auto Body Tech Form Central California ,I Have a 1970 AMC Rebel Machine and A 1970 AAR CUDA , After 40 years of owning The AAR Im starting this project . Im 70 years old and my wife said get it done ,She tired of being in our local Mopar car club and no car to show !! hope to have it done by the end of the year , Wish me luck . Ray

I can post some pictures As I go along no major rust some lower rear 1/4 rust repair , Only panel that was replaced is the rear trunk lid panel , Rust from the vinyl top . The car was sold in socal and landed in monterey calif, the person that had the car was stationed at Fort Ord , Then I got the car , in 1982 , in salinas ca. paid $250 for it blown motor in a guys back yard .

:welcome: To :The Machine. I'm right behind you in years young. Had an out of the toll gate run.I think a 71. AMX 401 purple with side pipes. Both of us going to different duty base. Record time.

IM working on the AAR and the AMC at the same time so ,I can drive at least one be for I go for good , Not to soon !! The AAR is FJ6 Darker lime Green ,Vinyl Top black / 4 speed / Rally Gauges , Thats all ? The AMC Rebel Machine 390 (auto 727 ) color Red White and Blue , Motor for the AAR was long gone /had the Intake W/Carbs Air Cleaner And Heads In the trunk , I worked for a Chrysler Dealer and Got a 340 R block to put in the car . All done and sitting on my motor stand just waiting for me ! Will Have pic soon as I figure out how to up load some pic ?

I had a friend who had a "Scrambler" with the 390, 4 speed back in the day (fast).
I too turn 70 this year (goes by too quickly) and owned my A66 vert since 1979 (finally restoring the car the last few years after sitting in storage since 1984)
My wife said the same thing; "get the car done already so we can go to car meets and shows"
Looking forward to pics of your work on the AAR!:thumbsup:

Also the bug guy comes from my wife’s 63 VW Bug project, That’s going to be in the works later this year but I’ll probably get it done before the other’s, Happy wife happy life !!!

Yes I’ve been getting parts forever know going to use them, but it’s been so long that I can’t remember what I have I have to do a accounting of parts I have and don’t have that’s going to take a weekend pull it all out and put it back!!! Hahaha!!
