OK, after literally spending all day yesterday with the trip there and back and time buying the car, my son wound up with a 2015 Challenger R/T Scat Pack! Redline Red Triple Pearl Coat with 20x9" black matte painted aluminum wheels (which are pretty rare and expensive!). 51,100 miles, no scratches and never in a wreck! I want to think all of you again for your advice testimonies and encouragement! We took some pics of his 2015 and my 1970!

Very nice!!! We have a 2019 scat and a 2023 cat plus others in the family, absolutely zero problems with any of them. Make sure you use the pennzoil 0-40 srt oil in it, ebay is the cheapest place to buy it, change it twice as often as recommended. A set of Michelin ps4 tires will keep it out of the ditch. Tires are everything on these cars. Our 2019 scat is the best car we have ever owned, made us sell some of the old cars.

The photo of your 70 Challenger and your sons 2015 Scat Pack remind me of a similar photo I took years ago of my 2015 and my 71.. Here it is.

I have to add my Challenger pics to the thread - My pair are a 2015 Hellcat (6spd manual) and my 1974 360 auto (originally a 318 car)

And I want to have the 1972 Barracuda 440 auto with the Challengers (originally a 340 Barracuda)

1972 AAR Cuda, thanks for sharing your new and old Mopar photos! My son and I was setting in the garage last evening once he got home from work. Studying the old and new Challengers, the designers of the new definitely started with an old Challenger and new Charger and created the new Challengers! lots of similarities even where they didn't have to!

Thought I'd post this last picture. My tires are wider! 😁

It took me sometime to find this on my hard drive. Could recall how it was named. Wasn't looking for it and came across it. So I thought I would post it before I lost it.
A few years back. I was really considering of buying a new gen of the challenger. Then come to find out 2015 and up PCM can not be programed for you own experience. The PCM controls everything. So now instead of having a spare ballast resistor a Spare PCM. The PCM being install for decades now seem to be rather robust with maybe a few exceptions.
But When I was looking at the diagram, it controls every thing as if it was it's own government. We all know how the government works. (It's what you think is good for you. It's what the Government thinks is good for you! ) So here it is.

Oh yeah. Now the Government is trying to pass legislation to have all cars made on or after 2025. To be able to shut it down remotely.
For safety reasons!
To be clear so there is no confusion. I believe this is for 2012 Dodge Challenger.

Fixed the one booboo on the Scat Pack Challenger. That's water from washing it after the fix. Took us 3 hours. Had to remove the front air damn but at least the front facia didn't have to come off. Might have to zoom in the photos:

It is a sensor that senses cars in front of you and it adjusts the cruise control to keep a certain distance between you and that car. I don't think my son sees much value in it!

I'm going to guess, There are very few or a short times there is a car in front of him. So that sensor is worthless.

If there is one warning I can give besides the counter-theft measures, it's that these cars CAN NOT be stored like the old ones. The mice and critters get into the vents under the underhood firewall, eat wires, and make a nest, but the electric gremlins that happen with the new ones are on a level that your 71 Duster could never have on its worst day. I've seen this happen to 3 of these using the same " park in the back forty in a pole barn." Just be aware one was a charger Daytona

Yup, built the newest garage for the two Challengers and the wife's 2014 Chrysler 300c Hemi to be rodent proof! Before the garage was built, dang pack rat chewed through one of the injector wires and fried the computer! $700 fix!

That is why I'm considering selling my S/S. I live on a farm and have to store it at my house in the city.
