Not super rare? I've had 40 e bodies in 35 years, been to a gajillion shows and have seen one in a car. That car just left my shop for France a week ago.

Well they were used in B, C, & E bodies...maybe A,s too... rare, but not like trying to find console mounted cassette player..

Probably an area option. Up here in the north a common option. I sold the one that was in my car

Very true, not much use for defroster in the south...
Funny, but the Classic Industries ad on the home page actually is showing a pic of this part... I checked and it doesn't say out of stock. Now might be the time to pick one up.

I'm from upstate, NY. Never saw one in a car there and 85% of my E bodies had rear defog. I've seen a few cassette players still in cars.
