I see several parts sellers have the polyurethane upgraded engine mount sets.
Looking to ask if they are worth buying.
Vibration issues?
Fitment problems?

Most mounts seem to be made in India now , want to guess how good they are ?
I usually build a strap from the ear on the block to the crossbolt for the mount using 1/8 .125 thick 1" wide material , that stops mount failure

Agree with Chryco. I use the factory mounts with turnbuckle type strap from Schumacher. Works fine. Use a line of thread locker.

Interesting I wonder if it would pay to do the other mount and see if that helps with vibration.
I admit to be a little unsure of the poly transmission mounts.
I know of one car over here that the poly trans mount was the source of a drive line vibration problem.

I heard they squeak and make noise.
Anybody have any experience with that?

I always use the poly trans mount it will not cause a problem if there is no existing problem , if there is a vibration it was there before the mount swap & needed to be addressed .
Poly engine mounts will not squeak , suspension bushings can squeak if they are not greased

Foolproof...Drill thru the mount and countersink the down side for 5/16 counter sink allen bolt. Put a Nylock lock nut on it. Do not tighten to squeeze the rubber. Works great and will never break, no vibration probs either. Cheers!

As TomH said I have done this to a Ford mount and it worked very well.
You only need do the drivers side mount.
Given the feedback about vibration problems I would probably do this again.
Thanks all for replying.
