My cuda currently has non power steering.
I want to add powersteering. I do have a pump with pully sitting. Still have to get a gearbox.
Pressure hoses apparently are different.
How do I tell?
Any recommendations on where to get gearebox?

thanks,
rick

What are you going to do with the manual box? I might be interested in it if you are planning to sell it....and you are aware that your steering column will need to be swapped out or modified too, right?

Hey Cranky,
Ugh... YearOne told me I would not have too.
I really don't want to add more expense and effort to swap it out.
The PS is primarily for my wife. I figure she may get frustrated without it.
I guess I need to think about this....

Thanks for the link Ramenth!

Is the replacement PS box different than a stock unit? The shaft for PS is shorter than one for manual. There used to be an adapter to go from PS to manual and I think they sell one. They used to be cheap but not anymore but that won't help your case any. Anyways, this is what I used to do whenever I swapped to manual....I would just grind the weld at the bottom of the shaft and replace it with one from a junk yard. That weld allows the piece that goes into the coupler to be pulled out of the shaft once it's ground away. This part is for a PS setup iirc.

 I'm thinking I will stay with the manual steering.
My wife drove a buddy's roadrunner with manual and said she could deal with manual steering.

Thanks guys!
