Rear seat belt through door panel

How do you separate the seat belt to feed it though the hole in the rear door panel?

I doesn't feed through the hole.

I recall there is a slot in the panel , but maybe I am wrong

Thanks, I was afraid of that, not the best design to keep the rear panels shape
