Good after noon guys among other portions of this build, I'm starting to work on the front of the grill. I wanted to keep the original. Its in really good condition structurally, but the 50+ years of sun damage has left it pretty faded. I was planning to restore it my self and I'm sure someone else has taken the same road. My plan as for now is to separate the center section and and send that down to be bright anodized. Once I get it back I can fill in the center grid pattern section with some fresh replica Organisol.
Before I send it down I need to strip the old Organisol off. What is the best way to strip the aluminum without damaging the finish? I was planning to Soda blast slowly.
Secondly after I separate the center section I will need new rivets to put it back together again, any idea where to get the correct rivets?
