Swapping 70 front end onto 72 body, differences?

Never into the notch area. From what I have seen, fenders with the notch have the lanyard hole to the left/right side of the fender surface bulge, same as 1970 factory location. If you look at pictures below, my notched 70-71 NOS replacement fender has the lanyard hole in the same place as my original 1970 early production fender, as per the pictures below.
