Replacing Glass Mirror in Cuda Racing Mirror

Can anyone tell me how to replace the glass mirror in a Cuda racing mirror? I was told you need to break the mirror which I am not inclined to do since I want to transfer one nice date code correct glass mirror from my cracked original racing mirror into another nice chrome mirror that has scratched glass. Is there a solvent that could be used to loosen the glue?
