Hello Mopar gurus, Happy New Year to everyone! looking for opinions for shaker setups, already have the hood, i know there are options out there Year One, Shaker Hood, Tommy Chryco, etc... just looking on experience good or bad, or preference, before purchase. I know they are roughly 2,500 dollars and could use some advise. Thanks in advance!

Every aftermarket Shaker kit I have ever seen requires some level of fitment, sometimes very minor, other times quite a lot. I knew the guys at shakerhood.com for a long time and they used OE shaker parts to set up the tooling for the repops but I think there was some tool wear over the years and QC slippage. Not saying they aren't good but I do know that they have had their issues.

Anything you get from places like Yearone are coming from places like shakerhood.com, for me I would go to the source if possible.

OE if your budget allows. Can’t beat the fit or look
Thanks Mopucky, I wish i could afford the real stuff. If I can find an OE out there close the 2,500 , I definitely will grab it. Most i see are off the charts. Thanks for your opinion man!

Ordered my kit from Tommy. He shipped me 3 shakers bubbles, each one arriving broken. Crossing the border apparently not good for shipping bubbles! Plus packing quality was poor. I had to source a bubble in US and actually pick up in person. Return shipping to Canada was a real pain, but Tommy picked up the tab on all 3.

Thank you Scottie, those bubbles are very fragile and should be packed like glass. Thank you for your experience with bubble shipping, I got my rubber bumpers from Tommy, no worries on them. I know Shakerhood also puts a good one out there. Thanks for your help!

yes, there was an issue with the shipper and packaging after that incident. All has been corrected, different shipper and bubble well packed. Have been shipping to Europe and all across North America with no further issues. All good!!

I bought one at Carlisle around 10 or so years ago. It was a green plastic material. Looked fine and everything seemed to fit fine on it. Ten years later and the plastic leached some sort of oily stuff out of it that was apparently caustic. It rusted the bubble hardware really bad and started rusting the baseplate. I can also see some cracks starting to form around the screw holes.
I might give the Chryco one a try. Im certainly not putting this junk on my car.

I used fiberglass reproductions, cut them all up anyway to make my Super Shaker to clear dual Dominator 1050 carbs.
