I want to replace my flasher unit because the hazards on My 1970 AAR 'Cuda don't work, and signal lamps flash quick and sometimes and slow others.I was looking at the year one catalog, theirs is a round shape, mine is a rectangular shape, which fits into a sleeve bracket, that is attached to the dash support brackets, am I looking at the correct piece under my dash?
Thanks.

There is an emergency flasher around the steering column under the dash and the turning signal flasher should be in a bracket on the back of the ash tray. I was working on mine this weekend and that was where they were located.

I went down to NAPA and got the 552 Turn Signal unit but, I can't find the Hazard Flasher. Could someone point me in the right direction? The one that came out of the car is a SIGNAL-STAT 175 S379
Thanks!

the switch is mounted in a small bracket so it can be adjusted , so on the pedal bracket there should be a 7/16 bolt holding the assy on , just remove the bolt & drop the bracket out , I would scribe the position first though .
then the switch may be held in by a barrel clip or a nut , I forget which

Ok. The the plastic connector on the red wires going into the brake light switch melted... Just curious if anyone else had this issue. Once I get the electrical sorted, I'll post some pictures of her! Thanks for all of your help Chryco!

I was thinking the same thing. It kept blowing the hazard fuse whenever I turned the hazards on. I replaced the TS switch and after I get the brake switch replaced hopefully they'll work. I replaced the brake switch 20 years ago but the TS is original.
