No trunk lip #s on an E-body.

Some states don't require a title. You can apply for a state issued VIN if you have no paperwork.

Yup. NY is a transferable registration state for anything '72 down. Very, very easy to obtain a new one with and all you need is the VIN number.

Getting ready to sell a 70 Challenger body. Car has no vin or fender tag, but I located stamping numbers on the cowl, and core support. Wondering if the car may have a hidden vin or derivative that I can use to nail down what it was born as? I did not locate any tables or data specific to the stamping numbers. Any help would be appreciated.

If you own this car, do you have an old insurance paper, or title? The vin would be in either one of those.
If you don't have any of those, the police will think it is stolen.
Sounds like you can only sell it as a parts car.

I agree , B bodys had a partial vin on the trunk lip , no Ebody is stamped there though
