And for the real rest of the story published tire specs are approximate.
Tire sizing is not standard in the industry. Only load capacity is regulated by the D.O.T. .
Take 4 different tire manufacturers and stand the same sizing of tires side by side and they will be + or - up to 3%.
This is one of the reasons that tires should always be matched in pairs on the same especially on modern cars with ABS brakes.

@bc3j Did you choose 15/16" instead of 1-1/8" to get the look you wanted or to get within the typical 24-25" fender height?
I am preparing to lower my front suspension. Fender lip is at 27" and definitely too high. Tire/wheel combo is Goodyear Polyglas GT F60x15 on 15x7 steelies.
That was the look I wanted. For curiosity I measured from factory locations. I’m running 235/60-15 all around. No problem rubbing or hitting anywhere. My wheels are also 15x7. I set fender height first for the look then measured factory locations just to see what it was. It didn’t matter to me what the actual number was, just got the look I wanted and had it aligned. It just turned out to be 15/16”.

@bc3j Thanks for response. I will do the same (pick what I like for height within reason) and then head to the alignment rack.
