Hello,
My subscription is up for renewal and I probably will, but just thought I would sample opinions...

I like getting a real magazine that I can flip through for a few days, I rarely turn on a computer at home. The thing I don't care for is it seems a bit elitist. It feels like 9 out of 10 cars in the mag are owned by multi millionaires. This is evident when that state "one of 14 Hemi cars" the guys owns, or "one of 204 cars" in this guys collection. There doesn't seem to be many "regular guy cars." Even the very unique cars featured seemed to be snatched up by the entitled few... Not a lot of hope for young people to have interest in 7 figure cars.

Anyways probably just overreacting, besides there is not much else in print out there...

Great question! And it's something worth pondering on if you get nervous at renewal time. For me, at least as long as I've subscribed I've always found the magazine to be worthy of my money. It's really not expensive in the big scheme of things. I think my last annual was $45? I don't recall exactly, and remember you get a free shirt! : ) But for me- getting it and seeing the stories of people like me that had the opportunity to find their dream car and drive it makes it worth it to me. I WILL however let my Hemmings subscription run out. I have not subscribed to HOT ROD in over 5 years and probably will never again unless they change their content.

I ditched it years ago - probably 12+ years. Had been a subscriber for quite some time. Thru them all out when we moved.

There was this middle section of black and white print of political diarrhea and who knows what else that I could not deal with. That was the nail in the coffin for me.

Was informative though.

That might be the issue. I think there is a pun there.
They tend to repeat articles. Such as I have seen in Mopar action. I was getting them in the very early 90's if not sooner I think. Then I noticed about 2000 they were rerunning articles.
When the hobby becomes and investment everything changes. It not common place anymore. There are limited number quality vehicles and disposable funds chasing them. There not made and there are no more. But it dose amaze me how sometimes the just seem to popup when you think there can't be anymore. Restoring cars I would guess it would have to be a Billion dollar industry.
I think there are two ways that it might effect a change.
1 Market correction. The investors have to get out. rapid change in the nominal price of a commodity, after a barrier to free trade has been removed and the free market establishes a new equilibrium price. There will be a loss of interest, In the commodity and the profit.
2 This is real simple. Is that something else affordable will come along. 3 gen Mopars and other interests, commodities and finical.

Re running articles? Show an example please in both MCG and MA.
If MCG goes away what do you have left? Which one of the critics are going to start a new mopar magazine?

Political diarrhea in MCG? No - just hard truth for those with comfortable lives that don't want to hear the reality of our world.

I don't think I ever seen it or I just ignore and mind my own business. I want to enjoy the magazine.
For some reason I had work for a living. I did ok. I take of my family and neighbors first. If it be Fires, Storms,Quake damage and Floods that we know to well here.

I could Political puke but I won't be part of it. I contact my State and US representatives.
It's not that I get tiered of it. Something things just are not right.
Theses are just fact.

Like Dial 1800 USA COPS and we loose citizens for an other countries benefit. Spoils of war each troop lost family members should receive 1 million tax free benefit.

Also 1800 WEL FARE for countries. I believe in helping my brother and neighbors but not being crutch. And then the loan is forgiven!

This is the land of milk and honey. I Wonder why we are being invaded. You can't drink oil. OPEC can keep it and pound sand up there a$$! You cross the border in a county such as Turkey you get shot. You cross the border here and you get a check +. Not to put one of the gentlemen presidents down. But that was Carter that started checks to immigrants. May good at the time but now abused.

One last thing a good while back out of the blue. A representative from the Sander's campaign called and we talked for a few hours. The one thing we talked about. It was mostly why we were in the financial situation we were in. They next morning when I was drinking coffee. Sanders came on the news and mention what I speaking about. I think about spit my coffee out. They or at lest some of them listen.
The list could go on. But I'm going to stop!

I agree and did the same thing that you did after many years of subscribing. Haven't subscribed for years, and I don't miss it.

Same here. I bought into the subscription to read about and see *Mopars*, not listen to a bunch of political rambling bullshit. I've had enough of people standing up for and promoting a liar, grifter, thief and pedo - this says everything I need to know about their morals. (All proven facts except for the last one, but that one's pretty obvious seeing who his best friend was for decades + combined with his own words). Him and all of his oligarch and fascist buddies have and will continue to ruin this country. I'm sure this will get plenty of hate, but I really don't care, those that voted for him are about to see how badly he's going to screw them over too pretty shortly.

Your guy Joe
Time for the complainers to move as it's apparent you forgot who you are, where you live and how good your boomer butt has it

I am not really concerned about the political BS, I just skip over it. One of the Mopar magazines used to have a section called "young guns." it featured young folks with like a 72 satellite that the kid put headers and mags on...not exactly a million dollar car, but they were interesting.

Had several years' worth the MCG. Didn't pay too much attention to the politics although the EPA rants were interesting to me back then.
Probably shouldn't have saved them though as I couldn't even give them away. The recycle service finally hauled 'em off.

My renewal is up soon also, trying to decide whether to reup or not? Probably will. I actually enjoy reading about the unique or unusual cars. Sometimes I like the stories, others, I just want to read about the car. I could care less who owns it or how big anyone's collection is. If it's a neat car, it's a neat car. End of story. I, seriously don't think I have ever read one of the political ramblings, whether I agree or not is beside the point. I don't pick up a car magazine to read about politics. It is very easy for me to flip to the next page.

To be honest, I just talked myself into renewing. Sitting down to read MCG is relaxing. We all need that.

It is the only Mopar print magazine left! I recently subscribed when Mopar Action was shut down.

We all get bombarded with political bs so I wish the editorials were more about cars but having said that I just don't pay attention to it .
