timing cover

hi
I have a question about timing cover for my 74 barracuda 318, original one (bad)cast number was
2951698
09104
I did fined a replacement but cast number is 3769966 also from 74 ,
will fit in my 318 or not ??

Yes If it's off a LA not A. If it looks the same it is. In the late 60's water pump was different, outlets I think. That the pump not the timing cover. Timing marks the same location as yours?

Timing marks moved around for sure , this doesn't affect me as I set timing by ear anyway .

the owner told me that is from 1974 car, the stamping numbers are in the same location as my old, just did not know if is correct for my car as I try to be ogyginal as passable and not drop value of it

I found the two part numbers of the timing covers online and posted below. Looks like the timing mark is the same and once installed, no one will likely know the difference.
