next... h-h-hmmm, NEXT!!!! don't know alot about the car as of yet. there is a fairly old (10-15) fiberglass trunk floor and D/S front floor repair. Boooooooooo! But the rest of the car looks real, and I mean REAL good. Of course i ain't dug in yet either. Tor Red hard top car originally. And it is going back. Build sheet long gone. one fender tag car. I will get some daylight pics up later. Remember, this car has been sitting for quite some time and it is dark outside. Lenny.

Compairing that car and mine, you can see the differences between the SPD and the accual build date as well as VIN number sequence. Does that car have a 9?? SPD or an A?? SPD?

My car...
927 SPD
159366 sequence number
101218 MDH code (month/day/hour) most likely the day the car was finished on the line

your car...
??? SPD
178127 sequence number
100914 MDH code

Your cars VIN is higher then mine but it was built 3 days sooner.

a quick update on the 73. pulling parts off, looking for the usual rust in all the normal spots. and not finding much! the issue with the P/S A pillar is obviously an old crash repair. the P/S door would indicate same. i'll be digging in a little further in the next few days, so stay tuned!!!! postcar.......

Thanks for the update. Hopefully you won't find much more wrong and will be able to proceed with the project. I really like the looks of this car and can't wait to see it completed. No doubt a head turner. Do you know if a stock engine is going back in the car, or maybe a built engine. Just wondering.

it looks ok to me too Reb! we should know more in a few days. i have to get the whole thing pressure washed and then i can dig out the P/S A pillar. i took the interior out of it today, and it appears to have had some D/S floor work done.

Have you talked with the car owner yet. Just wondering if he is going through with the build.

I talked with Lenny last week and he is going through with the project. Presently, I am in the process of building the 340 that will be going back in the car. Hopefully Lenny will not find anything else wrong. When this car is done I will have two Mopar Muscle cars a 1970 Dodge Charger 500 and the Challenger. Will add some pic's of the engine rebuild soon.
