Have you backed off the bar adjuster on the lca so that there is absolutely no tension on the bar? By wiggling the lca up and down you should be able to work it back with a pry bar between the k member and lca, can't see why your having so much trouble.
In all honesty I wouldn't reuse those bars now anyway.

yeah i wasnt reusing them and yeah the bolt was out all the way and i had the little plate out too.. it was just really wonky i guess haha
