Part of the resurrection of my '70 Challenger is the installation of the new Super Streetfighter Torqueflite. I spent a little extra time securing the lines to prevent them from touching. I ordered some mounting clamps for 5/16" brake line. Then I made up a couple threaded "studs" by cutting off bolts I had on hand. Two "flange nuts" were Loctited to the studs leaving the same number of threads exposed as the oil pan bolts. They replace two oil/trans pan bolts placed where needed to secure the two transmission cooler lines between the transmission and the radiator. I used one clamp on the transmission and stacked two clamps together on oil pan, adding a couple of nuts between the clamps as spacers. Another clamp was added to a lower brace under the radiator (not shown).
I hope this helps others secure their lines for no cost (except for the clamps).
