Gentlemen,
I am going to install a Champion 3 tube Coolant Device in my Challenger, running a 40 over 440. For appearances, I want the OEM fan on the Aluminum Pump V-belt pulley. However, the radiator I ordered has 2 10inch Electric fans. My intent is to relieve the friction clutch on the OEM enough where it will be pulling air at idle, but slip once I am moving away from a traffic light, much earlier than stock. Want to keep my Bama hotrod cool at stops, but let the electri do their thing and not have that additional power required before the factory 55 or 60MPH kick out point on the OEM fan. Anyone ever done this or can recommend how to change that friction point in the fan mount?
