Thanks for the add as a new member. I am presently restoring my 71 Cuda 340 4 speed. I bought this car as my username indicates in 1973 a month before my marriage. Was at the church with us and on the honeymoon. Both are still with me- wife and car! The car was our family car for 10 years. Made two trips (very fast) to take my wife to the hospital to deliver my daughter and later a son. Used it for my daughter’s wedding to take her to the church. Btw, son in law was taken to the church by his father in an 70 HEMI Cuda that he bought new. Both Cuda’s are still in the respective families! Obviously the Cuda’s are an important part of our family!

Mine was repainted in the 1980’s and then used as my summer car to drive to work until a few years ago when it failed inspection. Firewall wall welds started to crack and wheel wells would separate slightly from firewall when suspension stressed. Stripped it down to the last nut and bolt and began a full restoration and chassis stiffening.

I will keep you posted on my progress. See photos.

Any other recommendations on wiring harnesses? I just saw ShiftedGarage’s video and write up on American Autowire. Well done Shifted Garage. Thanks for sharing! Will go with this unless someone has a better experience.

Great to have you here. Very nice Cuda's. I love the hubcaps that make the Hemi Cuda a sleeper....
I used a painless wiring harness that has worked great. I took me over 4 months to install it, cross referencing factory wiring to aftermarket.
It would be much easier to use a Mopar harness. Someone on this website will be able to give you the name of a company/person who makes Mopar specific harnesses. That way you do not need to modify your firewall to run wires or mount the fuse block. A Mopar specific harness will terminate right where things should be with the correct plugs and connections.
