I developed a crack in the corner of the windshield of my ‘70 Cuda. Where is the best place to source a new one? It’s tinted and shaded.

Thanks, and have a great Thanksgiving!

Sadil340,

Place a post in the Wanted to Buy section and ask for a factory original (used with no cracks) if anyone has one. The new ones can be made to work, but it's my understanding they are wider and taller than the factory and can interfere with the retaining clips for the moldings. Others will chime in. I think all are made by the same factory (probably in China) and sold to the different suppliers. An original is getting hard to find, but may be worth the extra expense.

And Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.

Check locally, too. I had one replaced in 2023, simply using one of those mobile windshield replacing services, and it was a perfect fit. The guy let me measure the new one, prior to install. The tinting along the top looks a little different, but otherwise seems an identical replacement, in terms of size.

I think they are still made by PPG. If you want it to look original you can have it etched by ECS.
