Windshield trim polishing procedures?

Got to clean up and polish the windshield trim. Had some estimates to have it done, but that kind of money is not in my budget. If any of you have done this yourselves, could you share your experiences.

I did mine. If I were going to do it again I would do it outside. I think this guy can explain it better than me.

You don't see it until your done.

Just a word of caution. If there are no heavy scratches I would not sand.

I don't believe there are any on the rear trim. Got deep wiper scratches on bottom of front windshield trim.
