Got a pair of wiper arms, but don't think they are original? The odd one I believe is the correct one?? (71 barracuda)

Now you're just showing off. Those look great. They changed I think in 1973, maybe just the left one. But for 1970-72, they look like the ones you have pictured.

I never took them off, so how does that pivot arm on the drivers side attach?

the post, or pin, on which that second arm goes on, is only found on one side. I think its the driver side, but go look and confirm you have the little pin next to the fatter splined shaft. Put the shorter wiper on first, then the longer one.

There look great in that picture, but passenger side has issues. Like most of the car. The plate that covers the spring is missing a piece the snaps it down. If anyone has one? Plus the spring is awful rusty.

The crummier one can be restored.

EDIT: I see, that's both sides. If you want to take the time, you can clean the one on the left up. Soak the spring in a rust remover, like evaporust. If I recall correctly, the loose piece is held in place by friction, gently recrimp the metal around it after the spring is cleaned up.

The two on the right appear to be correct but the left side is missing the little clip that holds the pivot arm down. As you mentioned the right side spring cover is broken. As was mentioned, you can buy new aftermarket parts for around $150.00. Here are a couple pics of a pair I have. Both blades are there but need new refills. The last pic shows the clip you are missing. PM me if interested in this pair. There is minor rust on these springs also.

Here is the only pic I could find of the driver side wiper arm still attached to my 70 Challenger. Hard to see the whole arm due to the hood being attached, but you can see the far left end and how the extra arm is clipped on.

I hear ya. Most the car is nos, but I am getting antsy and want to drive it!! I can sweat that nickle dime stuff when I see it for a fair price. Thanks for Bill's site, might need him later.
