    Vintage Dashworks

Has anyone used Vintage Dashworks (vintagedashworks.com) from Tennessee? Looking at getting my dash redone on my next trip home, wondering if they are worth checking out.

    Unknown brackets

Another sunday morning playing with the challenger, going through the box of parts that were sent with my car, where/what are these brackets for? I cannot find them in any documentation I currently have

Non AC dash pad to AC?

How did your project turn out? I am in the same boat, have a 72 Challenger (currently restoring) with no AC and looking to change out the dashpad with an AC type (currently rebuilding dash and will get a new pad this winter). Dont care for the look of the vents attached to the bottom of the...

    Steering Column bracket

Thats what I was thinking, it would buckle or some other obvious flaw (crinkled/crack/peeled paint for example), I've got the whole car torn down, no dash installed as Im in the process of redoing that as well. Guess I'll have to wait until the dash is put back together and do a test fit, see...

    Steering Column bracket

I started rebuilding my steering column, and was looking a the bracket that holds it up to the brackets on the firewall, it seems bent, but maybe they are made that way???? The interior is stripped, so I can see how it all aligns with the dash and the rest of the car. Dont know if I should...

    318 Engine Brackets

Plan on mocking up the engine on the car, but I need engine brackets. Its a 318 going into a 72 challenger. From the looks of it, these brackets are hard to find. I can only find one aftermarket supplier that may have the set that will work, Schumacher '66-74 B,C,E-Body 273/318 or 340/360...

    727 Reaction shaft

Ok, thanks. That's the long term plan, rebuild it while its out, rest of the car has a long ways to go too, but for now I need it on the stand to get engine running and see if that will need a rebuild as well. Maybe I'll try myself (might be fun), but like you said, I dont have the...

    727 Reaction shaft

I recieved a 727 torque flight (used) for my challenger, plan on installing it on my engine on the test stand. I am not a tranny guy, so excuse my ignorance. I was told, it will "probably work" but may need new seals. I want to install it, so I can play with the engine on the stand. Anyway...

    2nd Mid life crisis

Yep, same here, liked the taillights grill better. I'll catch some flak for this, but I liked the 73/74 bumper guards too......and I had a factory installed luggage rack on my old 73.....not sure if I'll do that again, but I did like the look of that too. TBD for now

    2nd Mid life crisis

Yep, evidently it came out of another challenger, the previous owner threw it in on the deal. Im told it had a mild cam and did run......it looks like it has "j" heads, which are 340 heads, I think. No idea why that was done, or if they modifed the heads or pistons to account for the bigger...

    2nd Mid life crisis

1st crisis was my younger wife.....LOL. She laughed at me the other day, walked into garage, old man working on old car, beer on the work bench and 80's music blasting away on the radio. Asked if this is how was back in the 80's.....yep, pretty much

    72 Challenger Rebuild

I love it. My 12 year old and I were just discussing the color of the engine compartment yesterday, this is great to show him. Figure we'll do the same, sheet metal red, cross member and suspension black

Just picked up a 72 that was in the area, had a 73 back in the day. Going to try to recreate it, but better....hopefully.
