Oh, I admit, my 70 Challenger is pretty ugly! When I was driving her daily, they didn't have near the aftermarket goodies they have now! And since she runs so good, I'm afraid to update her too much! But I have a lot of new goodies for her!
Kinda like a Savage Rifle, not the prettiest girl at the dance, but everyone I own shoot sub MOA! Just took my 70 Challenger for a ride! Wee! Better than an E-Ticket ride at the fair. 😉
Radiator support would be my guess! And it appears to match! Basically that tells you the dash with the VIN and fender tag were moved over to a 318 car. I say 318 car because they were to most produced E-Bodies of all engine sizes. If the Challenger runs as good as it looks in the photos, and it...
I didn't post any pictures because there's nothing to add that wasn't in the first picture or EW1BH27's photos. But mine doesn't move very much like shown in EW1BH27's example. Since it started moving, just keep working it and it should free up! Probably hasn't been used for twenty plus years!
Hey, it's not pretty because I had to modify both the throttle cable and the kickdown leakage, but it's been this way for about 125,000 miles! 😁
I need to buy a four barrel throttle cable and it would "clean" up a lot better. I could get my throttle rod switched over so it's the correct...
I know people use the lokar cables and like them and they work alright, but it looks too Chevy to me! I prefer to just use the adapter.

Here's what I'd do if it was my car. Since the piston weight is close to factory, I'd pull the transmission, cut the weight off the torque converter and replace the flex plate with a B&M one for the cast crank 340.
Then drive it and if the vibration is gone, enjoy it! See link for Mancini...
If you can post a picture of the fender tag, it should be easy to spot if it's a fake or original! The VIN is definitely a 440 Sixpack, and if the engine, transmission, radiator yoke and cowl have the same VIN, the price these guys are telling you are reasonable. There has to be a Mopar club...
Welcome to FEBO from the desert! That's going to be a nice Challenger R/T convertible when your done! And I love the 70 Super Bee in the garage in the background! What yellow is the Bee?
The great thing about Mopar small blocks is the windage tray bolts to the special main cap bolts and not the oil pan bolts like a big block. I understand you want to avoid the accumulator system, but it sure does ensure you have plenty of oil when you need it. And is you're changing directions...
If you're going to order a new harness, I would call Bill Evans and tell him your situation and he can make sure you have the correct connector for you 73. I think they're the same, but Bill will ensure it fits. Might cost a little more if he has to make a custom harness, but he uses all the...
