How did you make out with this?
I did it awhile back and another piece you'll need is the metal backplate that holds the switches in place on the rallye bezel as the standard one won't work. I picked up a used one from eBay.
I used my light bar from the standard gauges but will most likely...
Welcome to the forum. :welcome:
You could give these guys a call - Custom Emblems - USA - Alpha Emblems
I've never used them personally but had seen some good reviews on facebook for them awhile back.
I bookmarked the website as I may need some custom emblems built in the future for myself.
As much as I'd love to, I just don't have the skills required to put into the body and paint to do a good job so my car has been sent to a shop.
Pretty much everything else, I have the confidence for. I'll probably have an upholsterer put the new skins on my seats though.
It was in May of 2023. Like I mentioned, I never dealt with Alan or Alana, maybe that's the difference?
I actually tried contacting Bob at ABC but never did get any sort of reply. I found out after that it's best to pick up the phone and call, rather than through email.
I've read so many stories like yours that sometimes I wonder if I even bought my dash pad through the same company.
My experience with Dash Pad Pros was fantastic. No concerns at all from them using Paypal. They actually sent me an invoice through Paypal.
Sent my dash frame down to them and...
Are you positive on that part number for the Comp lifters? Using that part number, those lifters are for a Ford, not a Mopar. They would fit the bore but very loosely as they have a smaller OD. Comp Magnum Lifters are 867-16 and Comp High Energy Lifters are 822-16 for sets.
I went through this about 6 months or so ago. I did quite a bit of studying and it's my understanding that tube size is more important than the number of rows. Essentially, a 2 row with a larger tube size can cool more effectively than a 3 row with a smaller tube size.
Example borrowed from one...
Very sorry to hear about your wife. My condolences for your loss. Your car is absolutely beautiful and I'm sure she was very proud of it. I know I would be.
I'm looking for a small block hardened intermediate shaft for high volume oil pump (Melling IS-72 or Mopar P3690715).
Prefer new but would consider a lightly used one in very good condition.
Would have to be shipped to Canada.
Thanks
Welcome from a fellow Albertan.
Would definitely like to see some pics of your car!
I've got a 73 Cuda that's being restored right now too.
Here's what it looked like before heading to the body shop.
Hotchkis says to get them from Summit and Summit says they're not available.
I'd say you're probably better off looking elsewhere for TB's.
I'm in the same boat and just contacted PST for a shipping quote to Canada. As long as they don't use UPS, I'll most likely order a set from them.
Go big or go home! :)
Seriously though, I tend to agree with some of the previous posters. A small block stroker with 475hp and 500ft/lbs of torque is pretty achievable and nothing to sneeze at.
If a company tells me the only way they'll ship to Canada is by UPS, I usually don't complete the order. I have no problem paying my duties/taxes but UPS's brokerage fees are WAY out of control. This is not something new from them, they have been doing this for years.
Talk to your local autobody shop or even an antique dealer, if you have one. They may know someone.
My body shop told me about a guy local to me who restores stainless trim as a retirement gig and he's very good at it. There's no way I would have ever found out about this guy as he does...
I honestly think this touch screen would work. BOSS Audio
The floating head unit looks like it will stick out far enough to clear the gauges and has quite a bit of up/down movement as well as swivel movement.
It might not be the top of the line stereo but does get pretty decent reviews.
Here's a quick update on my dash from Dash Pad Pros.
I know there are lots of people who had issues with them but I have to give credit where credit is due.
I just finished reassembling my dash and everything fit together perfectly. I did have to do some trimming to get some of the pieces to fit...
Definitely not building this car as an investment, at least not an investment for me. I'll have well over what it's sale price would be by the time I'm finished. I intend on driving and enjoying this thing for (hopefully) the next 20 years.
I am keeping a record of everything. This car will be thoroughly documented with pictures and receipts of absolutely everything that has been done to it. To me, documentation is an important part of any build. It's proof of what's underneath all that shiny paint. This car looked great when I...
