    I am not an expert,but I do believe you are right! I think the sideways B means the crank has .010 undersized main and rod journals. john

    Thanks Juan, Yes I think you are better off with a smaller carb on the street,better response. My car with a 950 on it, is faster at the track by over a tenth. John

    That depends on on which kit you use. Some cutting back on the bottom of the cylinder walls might be needed to clear the rods,and the oil pickup tube boss area is another spot.     When driving at night,and the headlights dim at a red light.....sorry,just a flash back to the old days! Just because my cuda has round tail lights doesn't mean it's a camaro!!!!

    Ignition upgrade

    Peco,stock alternator,regulator,starter relay should be fine. If you add electric fans,water pump,electric fuel pump then a upgraded alternator might be needed.With the new engine harness,I would get rid of the ammeter and put a voltage guage in it's place. john

    '72 block was decked .012,mopar .484 cam,hydraulic flat lifters,isky adjustable rockers,Ly rods, trw pistons.Cast iron 346 heads with a mild port polish. Eddy Torker intake,heddman hedders,2 1/2" exhaust. Cuda has power steering,brakes.Runs on 93 pump gas with a little vp110 added at the track...

    Avalanche,Go with a Holley 750DP. I have that carb on my '73 CUDA,440 w/346 heads,3400 stall convertor,3.91 gears,295/55 MT ET street radial. Drives great on the street,and goes high 11's at the track. John p.s. no bs here's a time slip:

    k member and steering box??? on 73 cuda

    Unless you are building an all out race car,I would keep the power steering.I kept it in my '73 cuda with a 440,makes it much nicer on the rare times I do drive it on the street.Just my .02 worth. john

    440 engine differences

    Hey Kevin, 440 and 440HP only had different cams,the 6 pack had more compression and heavier rods and of course the intake and the 3 carbs. All shared the same block.
