Very nice. I've seen green with green and thought it didn't look right but the orange on orange is very cool. That was exactly where I planned on placement. Thanks!
I haven't installed the hood decal yet but this is definitely a high impact combo. I figured I would post some more pics after a small cruise today. It was t shirt weather here in Pa and I was overdue for a ride. If anyone has the correct placement for the rt hood decal, please post it. I'm...
Build sheet is only a few shreds left, which was under the passenger seat. No others found. All body and motor/ trans #s checked out. I went off the fender tag which is original to the car. I was very happy with the outcome. None of that was known when I bought it and I had different build ideas...
Thank you Gary, It took a while until I was ready for them but they look great. Glad that you were able to help me out. I appreciate it! I'm going to post more pics when I get the time to finish. Should be real soon.
I had posted it when I first got it. It was autumn bronze when the previous owner bought it in 74 and stayed that color until I researched it and changed it to the OEM colors. Not sure why it was ever repainted that early in its life but it wasn't wrecked because it was sanded to bare metal and...
Get a filter with a top plate. Edelbrock has them and it should be enough for the big block. It's amazing how much air they can gulp. I had a foam triangle type once, and that motor sucked the whole thing right thru it. Gone!
The aftermarket ones usually won't work right out of the box.
I had to grind the ends to fit the box and re drill a hole but that's what you get these days.
After working the bugs out and a few break in miles, I finally got the stripe kit out and got 1 side done. Going to do the other side tomorrow and get more pics outside.
Been a 4 year battle with this one but, I'm loving it.
Nice. I have state farm for my dailys. I'm going to check them out then. Before them, I had nationwide and they would have insured it but wanted a fortune to cover collision. I didn't even think about asking state farm when I switched the dailys.
Grundy has my Challenger rt @ 65k for 418$ a year. My barracuda is at 35k 310$ a year. Haggerty was over 1100$. I have no accident record or points, of course. Call them both and get quotes, but my bet is on Grundy.
It does have the rally dash with clock but it's not working currently. It could be the culprit. I am going to test like sixpack mentioned and hopefully find something. It was a brand new 1045 amp battery so I was kinda shocked to see it was completely dead in three months. My charger srt has...
My 71 R/T 340 4 speed has been up and running since November last year and has been sitting for a few months over the winter. I went to start it the other day and the battery was dead. It was a new 1045 amp Napa one. I threw a little charge in it and it fired up.
I have a Mopar 110 amp 1 wire...
I finally got to go for a ride after a long restoration and the speedometer was growling and bouncing around, even with a new cable installed and the needle broke off. I imagine someone could repair it but I'm not sure if I could do it myself. I really don't want to spend 400$ for a new one...
Thanks man. I got your vapor separator installed in there and was very nice after blasting.
Turned out, I actually put the clutch in backwards somehow.
I am totally shocked but can't deny it. Even after checking 2x. Ashamed for that.
I got very lucky and barely skimmed the flywheel nuts. No...
A good wet sand and buff, stripe kit, and new clutch will exceed my expectations. Set it up for a repo stereo but of course, they aren't making that anymore. Called custom stereo, and all the repo places. Guess a glove box type is all I can do.
Since I have been on the site but thank everyone that helped me with replies. Every car build is different and this was a phenomenal task for me.
I got the motor broke in with the single valve springs and built an exhaust to exit near it for the break in. All went well, then swapped the old...
