340, this challenger of yours is going to be peculiarly original 😁
I can't recall any non OEM parts ever getting used on it .

That is so cool! It’s exciting to me so it must be very exciting to you! How many years has it been?

I was lucky when I stockpiled some parts literally 40 years ago and stored them till this time. I feel lucky that I picked up a pair of NOS fenders in 1980 along with parts I took from salvage yard cars. I've been selling off some parts I decided I would never get around to using including a clean PW wiring set up to shift the funds into things I currently need. Pic of the A66 right before I took it out of 31 year storage;

It is feeling really good, I bought the car in 1979 and was on the road until 1984 when I put it into storage. I figure it is time to get this done already while I still can! Sold off some extra parts to pay for the recent engine and trans rebuilds.

Speaking of NOS parts; I have an NOS Federal steering pump holding it in abeyance until I see how the original works when I start the new engine. Mopar tag dated 8/28/78

Looking great, the beast is resting, for now!
Just wanted to say, I once used one of those plastic filters and nearly had a fire in my engine compartment .

Thanks for your thoughts buda, I agree. I do not like the plastic filters myself. I wanted the see through filter for the startup/ break in to make sure I can see the fuel coming from the pump to the carb. It will be changed to the factory metal fuel filter following break in.

Oh I should had known , there had to be a reason, a good one too, being able to see the fuel flow is essential on the first run.
Thanks for the tip

You can see the 1984 NJ inspection sticker. Last year she was on the road!

I have the original 7 blade clutch that is still in storage. Decided to clean up the cool after market fan that I put on back in the late 70's. Liked the look, is very light, and was effective in keeping the engine cool with the shroud of course!

You are doing great! I hope I get to see it in person at a show somewhere since I also live in NJ.

Finished the Accurate Exhaust install; had to partially install the rear valance to rough in and align the exhaust tips in the correct position.
