Hi everyone, I'm currently restoring my 70 barracuda so I figured I would share some pictures of the restoration. I'll try and keep it updated as I finish the car. Its an original Rallye red black interior and black convertible top car. The previous owner added a shaker hood and shaker setup for a 340 and the car came with a 70 340 even though its an original 318 car. My plan is to make it a 440-6 with a 4 speed. The black interior is no fun in the summer, so I plan to go red interior with black convertible top. I painted the car Rallye red in a PPG base/clear and I'm pretty excited with how it turned out since I was finally brave enough to paint the car myself.

A lot of cutting and buffing. I used hot rod black for the tail panel and radiator support. Doesn't have the original texture but it has a nice finish.

Wow! That looks great! And you painted it yourself?

318 car? BH27G0B ? Any chance of seeing the fender tag?
Thank you and yes I painted the car myself. I’ve done body work and sprayed primer for years but always made my dad spray the paint.
You’re correct original 318 car and I’ll get a picture of the fender tag.

Very Nice! You’re doing a fantastic job on your Vert. I’m working on a 70 Very as well. However, you’re doing a ground up that is going to be amazing when complete. Thanks for sharing. 🏝

Cool car! Thanks for posting the tag info.
power brakes, bucket seats and am/fm/mx 10watt and black body side moldings.
Not many options.
Do you retain any of the V5X pieces? Replacing them or leaving them off?

I don’t have any of the V5X pieces so I plan on leaving it off.
