Thanks, yes, it appears it had an aftermarket sun roof at one time, then patched with some kind of scrap metal. Opted to replace the roof skin rather try to clean it up. Plans are to end up with something somewhat stock looking but with some mechanical upgrades. Won’t be restored to a slant six and 3-speed on the floor however.

Overall can’t complain about all the various AMD panels and fit. Biggest problem I ran into involved the rear wheel well halves not exactly fitting together perfectly, nothing that couldn’t be worked out. They required some minor sectioning to fit the outer quarter wheel lips as well. As extensive as it was everything really went together pretty well.

mmissile, I have a customer with a 73 340 Cuda. It is backhalved like this Challenger. He was wondering about going back to stock like was done here. He got scared when I said 500 hours. He may sell it. It still has the original 4 speed and 340 in it.

Why the color before the liner inside? Just easier than masking?

Work-flow for this project dictated it mainly, would have added another visit to the paint shop while mounted on the rotisserie to paint over it. Didn’t want to pay the paint shop to apply the Lizard Skin products after epoxy and prior to paint when I could do my-self when it returned to my shop. No less masking required, the splatter from the Lizard Skin gun gets everywhere.
