1970 Challenger primary hood latch release

I’m having a hard time identifying the one on the left and I’m wondering if they are both for ‘70 Challenger even though the lever is different and a half inch shorter?

looking through my pictures for a challenger hood release.
I think, one of those is a 71 and the other is a 72-74. Don't quote me, yet.
This is a 70 Cuda hood release. 70 is one year only for cuda and challenger.

What are your part numbers on the release handle?

Again, a 70 challenger

71-74 hood latch will not work with a 70 hood and visaversa.

In any case there should be a date code on both latch bodies That will answer the question.

The one on the right in the middle pic I posted I know for sure is ‘70 Challenger and here is its date code.
113 day of 1969.

It’s the other one with the shorter tab on the end of the lever that has me scratching my head.
It’s dated 125th day of ‘70.

May of 1970 production. Early 71 cuda?
I would go check my 71 but we have over 12" snow this morning.

I am not a challenger expert.
71 is completely different. A trigger latch like 71 cuda.
Without going and looking at samples I have, I am worthless
