Working on my 1972 barracuda and am having a hard time finding the turn signals that mount on top of the fender. Will the 1970-71 turn signals work? Because they look like they would line up with the holes on the 1972 fender. I don't really see a difference, is there?

Your car came with the chrome indicators. Is that what you are looking for?

The original 70 Cuda fender signal indicator has a larger socket and alignment tab in the front of the housing that goes in a hole in the fender so you will have to drill the fender hole larger in the 72 fender and make a provision for the tab. The original 71 Cuda indicator has different positioning as it is much longer than the 70 or 72. All three years of originals are different indicators and as Leo mentioned the 73 and up have a screw down from the top. Here is a set of correct 72 Cuda ones http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Mopar-1972-E-Body-Fender-Top-Turn-Signals-/220929378398
I have a used set of 72 Cuda ones here if you are interested PM me
