ASAP ill start postiong pics. Just picked up a 72 340 block that should be standard bore and low wear. I am taking it to the machine to be cleaned and checked in the morning.

Just got the 340 back and its been checked and had a .030 bore and is now ready to be built. I need some onions on the first plan for the engine build. Eagle standard stroke crank and rods, Ross dome pistons 99626, x heads with a mild port, howards 282/286 with .520/.515 operating range 2-6000 rpms( have a 4 speed), matching lifters, Harland sharp rockers, pushrods sized to work, original mains with studs, nice manifold, good windage tray and 750 carb not sure which one. Engine balanced, gasket matched and anything else the machine shop can do. Goals somewhere in the 475-500 streetable enough to drive when ever I want not just weekend cruiser.

4 Speed Guru Help needed

I have rebuilt the 4 speed transmission, but I have encountered an issue while checking shift function. I'll get right to it... when the side cover is torqued down shifting into or out of reverse is impossible. if the side cover is loosened slightly, it will shift very well into all gears. This is while it's on the bench. I think the reverse lever is interfering with the 1st - 2nd lever or vice versa... Please help so that I can check this item off the list.

The four speed which is a 2.47 close ratio thanks to parts from Passon Performance. Started tearing into the metal work and hoping to get the inner rocker, outer rocker, lower cowl, and door hinge panels in on the passenger side tomorrow.

Got one side done now working on he fitment of the second side. Hopefully will get the other rocker done and also the cross member.

Got the crossmember in took some measuring but got it back. Now time to work on the upper and lower firewall.

Getting the firewall back in today then hopefully getting the frame rails in tomorrow.

It takes a some massaging and trimming but nothing major. After we get the metal to fit together it's great. We are using my dads 70 challenger as a guide to double check the measurements.

Well haven't been on in a while but I am now putting this car up for sale and I just bought a 71 project that I will get next week. It is a much better starting point I just don't have the space and time for this one. New thread coming soon.

Ya I'm excited the 71 is almost perfect barely needs patching in a few spots. I'm thinking about putting my car up for sale on here.
