340 takes a long time to start

I'd double-check that. I am pretty sure that it is a Carter AVS, if I remember right I think that the number is 3933 or 3934 depending on auto or manual.

I'm off a year hence the 'stockish' part but it's a better option than a Performer, regardless...

Had a car that was hard starting, changed ignition, fires off pretty quick now. Was able to remove ballast resistor for full voltage.
