Looking for header advice, for a 408 stroker going into a 73 barracuda.

I don’t want long low pipes, or clearance issues around the power steering. Easy install, easy drop in.

Real world experience, what do you got.

Thanks guys.

"Easy" drop in is relative with headers. Either TTI or Dougs headers would be my recommendation to you. The Dougs D453-B headers would do well and are about as easy as can be. Headers will never be as easy as installing stock exhaust manifolds though. The headers will certainly help your 408 breathe better! Along with the headers, be sure to get quality mufflers.

I agree TTI stepped headers or Dougs , the low cost option is the Hooker 5115 which also have good ground clearance & fit well

I put TTI headers on mine. No issues on ground clearance, capturing the starter or too close to steering box. No pulling of drag link either or having to heat shield spark plug wires.

I have a set of Hooker E body 1970-1975 coated 1 3/4" small block SUPER COMP headers that were on my street/strip car for about 3 weeks or so. I paid $789 for them and would like to get $500 for them plus the ride. Clean and perfect shape except for some oil stains near the collector on the passengers side due the untimely exit of a rod thru the pan. I previously ran 1 5/8" street headers on it (408 stroker) and liked the added top end power of the 1 3/4" tube race headers. I'm building a 512 TFS headed roller motor now so they are for sale, as is a brand new Hughes 8" Pro convertor that I never used.
I'm in the Phoenix, AZ. area.623-877-8553
