Does anyone know if a 74 E Body Auto trans Brake pedal will function in a 70 Challenger to change over from 4 speed pedals. I am told that there is a difference in shape somehow, that makes the 74 not "correct" for restoration. Which I don't care about correctness on this one, if it will function here for a 70. (Street/strip car). TIA

It will fit a operate properly just different shape pedal where your foot pushes on it & I believe the arm is shaped differently as well .

Seems more people go from automatic to manual these days. If you have all the manual hardware (clutch and brake pedal) you can get a nice price for those! Then any year brake pedal setup is relatively cheap in comparison.

Thanks. I bought one that was designated '74 E Body. We'll see soon enough if it will work on a '70. Going to retain all the 4 speed pieces for another project on the '71. 😉👍🏻

Here are some pictures of brake pedals I have. See the differences.

Thanks to brotow for getting a pair of pedals out and posting.
I was going to, but hadn't come across both styles to get pictures

Awesome! Thank you for that brotow and Mr Cuda... That was exactly what I needed to see. I appreciate the fact that you went to all the trouble to line up those pedal pics to answer the question here. 🤔👍🏻
