Gotcha. Interesting that the stripe code shows on tag. The other V6J 71 Challenger l know of has it listed only on broadcast sheet and not on tag.
Looking forward to seeing updates on this one. Love 71s , don't get same respect as 70s from my experience.
I prefer the 71 styling over 70 myself.
I've had 2. One with orange stripes and orange and black houndstooth interior.
What was the color of that other car? Was it black?

No it was FJ6, which is 'more common' with the V6J stripe from what l have seen over past 30 odd years.
I have seen multiple TX9 cars with orange stripes, yours is first l know of in green.

I haven't installed the hood decal yet but this is definitely a high impact combo. I figured I would post some more pics after a small cruise today. It was t shirt weather here in Pa and I was overdue for a ride. If anyone has the correct placement for the rt hood decal, please post it. I'm pretty sure it's centered and about 5" to the bottom of the decal from the front.

Cool beans, glad you got to drive it around! Yes weather been good in Northeast ;)
Here is where my R/T decal is. I based it off of an original ad for the 71 R/T .
Basically I line up the bottom of the 'R' and the top of the 'T' to where the hood curves swoop out.
It's where I thought it looked best. Do what you will , your car ;) .
And yes original orange strobe car ;)

There are drawing for a plan. But that plans never always work out. Then there are pictures of original ads that seem to be what it is.
In a perfect world!

Very nice. I've seen green with green and thought it didn't look right but the orange on orange is very cool. That was exactly where I planned on placement. Thanks!

The first picture appears to have everything on the fender tag you listed.
The second car is a totally different car.
One of my holy grails right there.

Sorry to get off topic from your awesome 71 RT 340 TX9 V6J!
It truly is one of the coolest paint schemes on the best year out there.

The car is orange and an aquaintance needed some help with the tag so I reached out to you but I was looking at the ev2 code which says orange for Dodge and tor red for Plymouth so that was confusing since I really don't know for sure. It's in Indiana as far as I know and he is storing it for his uncle.

I'm very interested in the complete tag and the options on this car.
Does it retain it's broadcast sheet, build sheet, any factory documentation?
Not a lot of info on this out there but there are some around. I have lots of pics of every V21 I have ever found online. If you don't want to dilute this thread, pm me.
