72 Cuda 340 restoration with lots of pics

Hi,
I've been lurking around here for a year while we worked on my 72 Cuda 340. It was somewhat rough but all there, yet it still took 8 months of getting parts and work. I was very fortunate to find some people who really know their stuff and the car came out better than I had hoped. I found some very helpful people here, especially in the beginning when I had no idea what I was in for. Even though I wasn't posting I was still hanging around reading all the stuff posted by others so I thought I owed some photos at the completion. :)
Thanks,

Thanks! To be honest I have to admit this was the first time I've had a classic car since I owned my 72 Challenger, in 75.... And the vast majority of this work was done by some local guys that love Mopars and were kind enough to have pity on me. I learned a bunch from hanging around watching every piece come off and then get reassembled, and I got really fast... at writing checks for parts :)

Very Nice. Almost just like mine, except I have no stripe and I have hood blackout V21.

Very Nice!

Where did you get your rear deck moldings? Since I couldn't find any good ones, I decided to delete them and weld the holes shut.

That turned out fantastic! I'm glad this thread popped up as I was admiring the finished product in his new thread. I would have gone with the white stripe being that it was on the tag that way but it looks great with the black of course.

Ed, Wow. Really nice job on the Cuda. That was some crew that helped you out with the resto. Great way to learn a lot & Get the job done.

Howdy, I got one of these too. I am just putting on the trunk molding. Previous owner welded up the holes... I just got the clips and am preparing to locate the holes very carefully and drill. Any suggestions about what sealant to use on clip studs to seal up the edges of the new holes?
Thanks

Wow great job that's a beautiful car

I own a 1972 340 4spd Cuda
It's FE5 Rallye red, not coded for side stripes (although it had them at one point)
It's also equipped with the factory V21 hood option and G36 color keyed racing mirror's grille from the factory
JeffV21 I'd love to see pics of your car
