Just make sure to change the tires before you drive it more than 40 ,mph. Don't want to have a tire come apart and cause more damge .
And always check the brakes and replace fluids on cars that have sat more than a couple of years.

Nice fond! Reminds me of my first car. 70 SE Challenger. I attempted to drive it home from the used car lot. 500 bucks and had to replace a head gasket on the way. I did finally make it lol.

Late 2/70 FJ6 was made available.
FJ5 is an awesome color!
That's why I was asking (mostly).
That and I'm always looking for M46 any 70 BH model car.
Yours must be an H code if the 340 is original? So a BS car?
Have you searched your vin number to see if there is any other information about your car out there on the web?

With no fender tag or broadcast sheet makes it a great candidate for restomoding or hot rodding.

Seats appear to be 70. Have you looked under or behind any of the seats for the broadcast sheet yet?
Is the motor that is non numbers a 340?

Nice find! New here myself, but been a Mopar and E body guy since I was a kid. That 2998949 radiator would have come in your Cuda, which more than likely had the HD cooling package since it was a 340 car. Looking at the master cylinder, it looks like it may have front drum brakes. I'd swap in discs.....you need as much whoa as you have go, lol.

Ahoy matey! Thank you, yes and yes... FJ5 is everywhere oldmancuda' as I looked inside and out as far as could see - What an awesome combo for this car if I dont say so myself! The feedback I get driving around, even with the "non-perfect" paint/ body (a 20 footer) it really is a blast. This one will deserve some nice paint soon - I would love to see a shot of yours.

Thanks JDMopar! You are correct on the radiator check". . and yes your right on the original drums (and no p.s.)....whoaa hold on! This is an unrestored car with original interior, original console, the born with glass and trim with the car keys matching all doors, trunk, console, and glovebox cylinders. I may have a problem letting myself bring this one "up to code" so to speak - you just dont find them like this anymore...also I cut my teeth driving around a 71 Nova with no ps and no pb so guess I feel a little brave. If I ever need to turn right fast just hit the brakes . . OOOO shi@t_

A good while back, I had the same Idea preserving rather than restoring. I got a little carried away. The more time you spend the more you want to do. You can't help yourself. You'll start with blending in the 1/4, then you think I'll touchup the fender and it goes on. It's a problem. Hope you have more self control then I do Good luck!

100% agree! The snowball grows quickly....lol. I had 2 freeze plugs in the back of the block leaking in my 71 GY3 Challenger 318 car. That blew up into a better cam, LD4B, Edelbrock 600, TTI headers, 727 replacing the 904 and an 8 3/4 replacing the 7 1/4, 11.75 disc brake swap and a trip to the exhaust shop....lol. All for $4 worth of freeze plugs!

Hey RTA. . your right how easily that wick is lit!! Im trying my best to keep track on this one. Nice looking resto job btw! Very nice! Thanks for asking on the preserve.. its going good thus far and having a blast driving it everywhere I can. The interior cleaned up well. I got a lot of the jams cleaned up. Haven't jumped under hood / truck or underbody yet. Threw some Quiktime electric cutouts last weekend (that'll get me in trouble). Lights, blinkers, under dash dome and tach & fuel gauges are working besides oil pressure but sporting the vintage 70's Stewart warner oil pressure gauge under column to be sure! I need to figure out the front road lights yet. The 340 in this thing is just a riot to tool around in.. listening to the crower (280H 460 lift) cam put in' in 74' is a symphony to my ears..hearing it through an Accurate exhaust with 'resonators delete' then hitting the cutout switch to make some noise. I feel I made this old Plymouth a super fun "prop car". It's never been to the dragstrip in its life but kinda looks it! Keep on truckin

It's look really good. Sometimes doing less is more. Addressing the under issue would be a good thing. It's not a GM. I had fun with a friend and his Yanko Nova. Let us know how it turns out.
